Who are they?
Solutions Group, formerly Greens Accounting Firm, is an excellent accounting firm based in Longwood, FL. Approaching their ten year anniversary, they were looking for a complete rebrand with an eye on some exciting expansion.
Goals for the project were to keep some cues from the old brand, project a modern and sophisticated image, and create an overarching identity that could support several arms of specific specialty.
Behind the design
Sticking with a black and white color scheme, the S and G weave together in a slight nod to the old logo. One of the initial design ideas discussed was a crest-style mark. The original idea was much more ornate, but as we refined the idea we kept stripping away pieces until we ended up with more of a shield look. This works well as a nod to the owner’s past as a police officer – one of those funny coincidences that happen on accident (or perhaps subconsciously on purpose). The lines around the shield mimic the engraved style found on U.S. currency.
